Brass & Percussion Workshop

Toronto Brass is excited to announce the inaugural Workshop and Open Day, to be held on Sunday 26 May at Westlakes Music Centre.

Supported by Create NSW in conjunction with the Band Association of NSW, the workshop is aimed at junior brass and percussion players of all levels, and will be run in conjunction with the junior band program ‘Catalina Brass’. The workshop will run from 8:45am to 3:00pm.

Featuring some of the foremost specialist brass and percussion teachers and tutors from the Hunter Region, the workshop will provide an excellent platform for young musicians to experience a fun and fulfilling day with like-minded peers.

Workshop participants will learn new music in a friendly and social setting, while also engaging in teamwork, collabration, and creativity throughout the day. The workshop will culminate in a showcase of music for family and friends.

Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea will be provided by Toronto Brass volunteers.

Participants are to bring their own brass instrument or percussion sticks/mallets.

Music, stands and percussion instruments will be provided.
