Bands In the Park

What a fabulous day our youth band, Catalina Brass had today at the Hunter Region Bands in the Park at the new MIMA art space at Speers Point Park. Nature certainly turned on some beautiful weather .

It was a real joy to be performing to the public again after 2 years of being essentially shut down with Covid restrictions and also a great day to be socialising and supporting other bands from around the region.

We were all very excited to be performing for families and friends and the general public, giving us a chance to play some new and challenging pieces that we had been working on. Some of our members had not performed for nearly two years and for a couple it was their very first public concert. We had some great feedback from audience members and hope that this can be a building block for future events. We are so proud of everyone's performance today.
